Bryan Buchanan, 1975 Wapahani High School graduate, AKA The Jungle Medic, Needs a bus!!
The new bus is needed for Bryan to drive to the airport and pick up and shuttle Bryan’s medical teams that visit him in Guatemala frequently. The bus he is currently using is too small to accommodate the teams and their supplies. 2018 and 2017 saw a large group of Wapahani Alumni visit Bryan and help him first hand in his efforts.
Bryan is a firefighter and paramedic from Selma, Indiana. He now uses his skills to treat the Mayan Indians that live in the remote mountains and jungle of which there is no doctor, dentist, or medical facilities. Most villages have no running water and live off what they can grow. Bryan has over 100 villages he visits.
Bryan hosts all kinds of groups, including teams of medical students who get the chance to use their skills to make a difference. He and his family open their home to all who come down to help them give medical care, comfort, and hope to the Mayan villagers who desperately need medical and dental care for themselves and their families.
Your Donation will help contribute to the $5,000 needed for Bryan to purchase the new bus he needs to continue the humanitarian work he does for the people of Guatemala. The Liberty-Perry Alumni Association fully supports Bryan’s work and will see that 100% of all donations accepted, will go to Bryan to purchase the much needed bus.
